| Our
Wilderness Travel group flew on to other spots or back home today
and we did a bit more exploring of Istanbul on our own. We began
with another look at the Blue Mosque and then headed to the Pera
District (also called Beyoglu). There is a big walking street with shops of
every sort. There are several churches and embassies in this area
and it was a nice relaxed way to "finish" this trip to Istanbul. |

There was time for some final night shots of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace from the hotel rooftop. Lovely!! |
